Here is the very first Towner comic strip ever drawn in 1997. It features Towner with one of his friends, Butski – a kid that has some odd habits, including hanging out in garbage bins.

This very 1st strip in the comic’s history was based on a similar joke to the very 1st Chrusher Comic (that basically is missing, confiscated by Oswego Middle School teachers in 1987, but this one from 1988 was a reprise or retelling of sorts).

Butski is a kids-sized version of a character of the same name in my own ChrusherComix.

Here is the very first Towner comic strip ever drawn sometime in 1997. It features Towner with one of his friends, Butski - a kid that has some odd habits, including hanging out in garbage bins. Butski is a kids-sized version of a character of the same name in my own ChrusherComix. This strip was colored and web-published for the brand-new Towner comics website July 21st, 2012, nearly a decade and a half after it was originally illustrated. I didn't endlessly sketch these characters, I just drew them straight up in strips. Again, Towner comics is as if my ChrusherComix hit  an interdimensional time warp into the Calvin & Hobbes universe. Here is the very first Towner comic strip ever drawn sometime in 1997. 1. This is the very first Towner comic I ever made. I basically took some of the more successful/beloved Chrusher Comix characters and kiddified them to see how the character dynamics play out as kids. I think it worked. Audiences however… seem to just pay it a passing glance and go.
